Job description

​

Tamson is a student producer who oversees the entire film production. Her responsibilities include budgeting and raising funds, scheduling all meetings, sourcing everything needed for the film, booking and securing locations.

 

Achievements/Qualifications

​

She is currently studying but has worked on third- and fourth-year films, including award winning films Axel, Quiet on Set and The Extraordinary Super Now. In addition to this she has worked on 48-hour film challenges. Her goal is to create authentic South African films.

 

Passion for film

​

She fell in love with producing after stepping onto the set of 7nde Laan and has been pursuing it ever since. She believes filmmaking is a way to connect people and to create stories that others can relate to. There are so many important stories that need to be told and she loves that she gets to be a part of that process.

Personal Interests

​

She also loves writing and has been working on her novel since 2015. She has also written several short stories and hopes to have them published someday. Her favourite film is Love Rosie directed by Christian Ditter and her favourite TV series indule the One Chicago franchise created by Dick Wolf and Pretty Little Liars.
