Job description

​

Morné Viljoen is the Sound Designer for Owl House Productions, in charge of the entire sound process, from onset recordings to postproduction. He is responsible for all the film’s sound which includes the recording and manipulation of dialogue, sound-effects, foley and ambient sounds.

 

Achievements/Qualifications

​

He is currently a third year BA Motion Picture Medium student at AFDA, majoring in Sound Design. He also obtained an international Grade 5 certificate in Popular Music Performance (Drum Kit) from Rockschool.

 

Passion for film

​

During his studies, Morné quickly discovered his passion for film sound design, and he strives to be the most flexible sound designer he can possibly be.

 

Personal Interests

​

Morné is also passionate about music and has been the drummer for various bands.
