Job description

​

Cameron Baatjies is a third year AFDA student who is currently double majoring in Cinematography and Data Grading. For Owl House Productions Cameron has taken the role of the Digital Image Technician (DIT) and Colourist. A DIT is the person who oversees the camera settings as well as making sure that the data gets transferred off the camera’s memory card. A colourist is the person who makes sure the colours of the film portray the look and feel that the film is going for.

 

Achievements/Qualifications

Cameron tried studying accounting at the university of Pretoria but later decided that the film industry is where his talents would be put to better use. He decided that coming to AFDA is the best choice for him.

 

Passion for film

​

He is interested in making a good name for himself in the South African industry, with the end goal being to make a name for himself internationally.

Personal Interests

​

His favourite film is Tenet and right now he is very interested in the TV series New Amsterdam.
